STUDY OF CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASE RISK FACTORS IN YOUNG PEOPLE. LITERATURE REVIEW

Introduction. Cardiovascular diseases (CVD) are often considered diseases inherent in the elderly, but the alarming increase in their prevalence among young people underscores the need for a deeper understanding of risk factors and preventive measures. Aim: to analyze risk factors for cardiovascular diseases in the young population based on scientific literature.
Search strategy. Literature review. The study depth was 7 years from 2017 to 2024 in the following databases: Pubmed, Google Scholar, Web of Science Core Collection. Inclusion criteria included a review and analysis of descriptive, analytical, clinical studies and systematic reviews published in the last 7 years in English. Results and conclusions: The analysis of the literature revealed the main risk factors for CVD among the young population, such as physical inactivity, unbalanced diet, smoking, stress and drug use, which require further study.
